Moyinoluwa Sanusi, Administrative Assistant & Youth Mentor
Meet Mo, a driven and passionate 15-year-old high school student with a heart for helping others. Mo has taken on the role of mentor to Afro-mentees, using her own experiences to guide and inspire them.
With a deep interest in the workings of the human brain, Mo has set her sights on a future in the field of neuroscience. She spends her free time reading, knitting and solving puzzles with her little sister.
Despite her youth, Mo is already making a difference in her community. As a mentor with AMI, she is helping numerous kids connect with and develop a confidence in their their heritage. She is a natural leader, able to bring out the best in those around her and create a positive and supportive environment.

Oluwaseun Ajiboye, Team Lead & Youth Mentor
Oluwaseun Ajiboye is originally from Omu-Aran, born in and raised in Ogun, Nigeria. She moved to Regina Saskatchewan where she is currently in High School.
She loves to sing, dance, & is a devote debater. As a former children teacher, she works with AMI as a Youth Mentor & Team Lead where she delegates tasks & is the liaison between the founder and the Team. She acknowledges the importance of having a home away from home.
She works to create a strong bond with African children in her society. She focuses on providing a safe haven for the children and co-workers as well as her family.

Iliiza Karangwa, Social Media & Communications Strategist, University mentor
Iliiza is a Rwandan-Canadian who graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with an honours in Urban Planning. Because she grew up in many different countries, Iliiza resonates with the mission to support youth build their self-identity & confidence.
Iliiza has a passion for community development & believes creating awareness and education is powerful. She is happy to shed light on our mission by managing the organization's communications channels and digital platforms, including website and all social media accounts

Kolawole Raphael Ajiboye, Junior Mentor
Raphael was born in Ogunstate, Nigeria and is currently a student of St Joan Of Arc in Regina.
He enjoys playing the piano, is active in all kinds of sports and volunteers as a photographer for fowosere_shot_it. He will mentor our youth by sharing his passion for music and teaching

Flavia Kambale, Junior mentor & Dance choreographer
Miss Flavia, has been dancing since the age of 2. For the past 10 years she has had the passion for creativity and music. Starting off her first dance steps at the Ugandan International Dance academy, she’s also danced with Saskatoon Dance, Sask Express, and Dance City Regina. She has gained experience in tap, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, acrobatic and Afro-beats. She has performed starting in Kampala Uganda and, Calgary, and across Saskatchewan.
Flavia has a love for leadership and teaching those that look up to her and often finds herself creating positive change wherever she goes. Many say how she radiates a room and often leaves a smile on those she is privileged to connect wit

Oluchukwu Ogana, University Mentor
Oluchukwu “Olly” Ogana is a student at the University of Regina, studying Software Engineering. Olly will support members in all things University. She is also a product designer for a startup Edutech company. She believes in the art of visual organization.She designs organic interfaces for users get their tasks done in a few clicks.
She is also gifted with the art of hairstyling. She knows how much confidence good hair brings to a woman. She specializes in braids, hair installations and styling. She constantly aims to improve her skills in the world of styling and keeps evolving by learning new techniques and tricks. If you’re struggling with styling your/your kids hair, just give us a call.

Kim Gilbert
Kim is a parent of a Haitian-born daughter and is passionate about ensuring that all children find community with those who can share lived-experiences, and appreciates the important role that AMI plays in doing this for children and youth. She is a director at Ronald McDonald House Charities - SK and enjoys staying active in nature and cheering her daughter on at track meets!
Kim determines what works best with what we have at hand. She gets feedback from all the employees and evaluates what ways the organization needs to move forward or change. She also acts as a consultant to the members of the team.
